You could just read the thread that covered *this*, here in the list,
about two weeks ago...
ES and SIP cards have brains, and for VPLS you need brains in the Supervisor
(for address learning) *and* brains on the line cards (for the MPLS bits).
The Supervisor itself can not do both things at the same time - so you
can have address learning (normal vlan handling) or MPLS (EoMPLS without
any learning), but not VPLS.
