[c-nsp] "show idprom int TeX/Y" stops working on sup720?

Not this problem in particular. Usually it will be something TDR
related, or ports failing OnDemand diags.

99% of the time a reset of the slot fixes it. The other 1% it's true
hardware failure and we call in a replacement.

Out of curiosity, do you see this kind of thing a lot? I've not spotted
this kind of misbehaviour before, but I'm starting to get a little
suspicious of the hardware/inventory/i2d/idprom commands on this
platform...

That's a thought. We do indeed have dual sup.
