  See the thread I raised last week regarding the same issue between as 
ASR1004 and an ME3800. The ASR1000/900 both run IOS XE, and I have issue 
(tagged frames fine, anything BPDU not so much)

  My issue is with Cisco now, hopefully expecting and answer next week.
