Not much. It's closest to a 2248TP but includes PoE, which the Nexus FEX do not. Clearly aimed at the access layer whereas the Nexus FEX are aimed at the data center. Though complementing the Nexus FEX line with something like this model would be useful for the 10Mb or PoE needs that might exist in the data center (as the 2248TP is 100/1000 only). But a 2960-X is probably a more cost effective choice at that point.
