I'm not familiar with 1811W but on the 1941W the router itself doesn't
have any dot11radio interfaces. It has a GE trunk towards a built-in but
otherwise stand-alone access point (AP801AGN-E-K9 or thereabout).

On the 1941W running C1900-UNIVERSALK9-M 15.1(3)T1 (securityk9) that I'm
looking at now the AP is running AP801-K9W7-M 12.4(21a)JA1 and supports
neither any "ipv6" nor any "ip6" commands AFAICT.

I know there's probably a good reason, but I'm curious as to what it
could be since I'd exactly use a BVI for this. Anything you can share?
