Hi Robert,

You need a "router port" (eg. ES20+, SIP/SPA) to do that kind of thing, not a "switch port" (eg. 65xx, 67xx).

I always liken the switch linecards to be about the same as shoving a c3750 (or perhaps 4500) as a card into the 6500/7600 chassis. There is a definite limitation to the amount of complex L3 things you can do with them.
