... except if those two vlans are provided from a 3rd party NSP, like
for example vlan 500 for {Customer X,site A} and vlan 501 for {Customer
X, site B}, and Customer X asks for an ethernet L2 between Site A & B.

But sure, the loop between two local ports is a really quick-n-dirty
solution...
