If it's running SUP2 currently, I doubt there's an -E chassis in there 
capable of running SUP2T.

And, if that's the case, I suspect that by the time you've paid replaced 
the supervisor(s), chassis, fan tray, PSUs, and whatever line cards 
(maybe), that you'll be better off buying new 6800/6880* and getting the 
extra N years out of your investment.
