If you don't have IOS support, it's not going to work.

Feature you're looking for is "BGP Support for 4-byte ASN"

For NPE-G2, it was available from 12.4(24)T, 12.0(33)S, 12.2(33)SRE, 
15.0(1)M1, or any newer release (15.1M, 15.1S, etc)
