Remove bridging from the equation, the following
configuration should be enough (remove everything else):

interface ATM0/0
 ip address dhcp
 no ip redir
 no ip unreach
 no ip proxy-arp
 atm route-brige ip
 pvc 8/35
  encapsulation aal5snap*
