On an ME3400, I can see how l2protocol-tunneling is behaving:

pe01.156FrontStW01.YYZ#show l2protocol-tunnel

Drop Threshold for Encapsulated Packets: 0

pe01.156FrontStW01.YYZ#

On an ME3600, however, the command is nowhere to be found and my google-fu seems to be sedated.

!
interface GigabitEthernet0/7
 switchport trunk allowed vlan none
 switchport mode trunk
 mtu 1600
 no keepalive
 service instance 888 ethernet
  encapsulation default
  l2protocol tunnel
  xconnect 72.15.50.96 888 encapsulation mpls
   backup peer 72.15.50.98 888
 !

Any ideas?
