Dear all,

in case anyone ever stumbles over this: 4.3.4 fixed our problems.
Various combinations of IOS XR 4.3.4 and C6500, C7600, ME3660x, and
ASR9k come up without any issues.

Merely with 12.2(33)SXI5 on C6500/SUP720 PWHE still refuses to come
up, but you can hardly call that current.
