Hello,
For MVPN mtrace, only unicast queries are supported. There MUST be a unicast routing reachability to the destination address. Multicast queries and hop-by-hop queries are NOT SUPPORTED. Until 4.2.x
The mtrace query MUST be destined to the last hop router from where the traceroute is desired.

Subject: [c-nsp] IOS XR mtrace vrf w/LSM?
Am I missing something with mtrace in XR? No matter what I seem to try, I get nuthin'.
This is label switched multicast, so PIM free core. Maybe mtrace doesn't work in this type of deployment?
