I never said such a thing. On the contrary, I wrote:

'I have a "train" topology with some redundant links between
neighboring switches'

Moreover, even if I did not have redundant links between neighboring
switches, STP is always a good precaution against someone (a
technician) accidentally connecting two ports together.
