Hi,

we have a couple of Cisco 4506-E with Sup 7L-E and WS-X4640-CSFP-E 80 port linecards in a FttH deployment.

Recent software images no longer seem to support "duplex auto" on those interfaces.

Show interface capabilities only show full for duplex:

     #show interfaces gigabitEthernet 2/2 capabilities
     GigabitEthernet2/2
       Model: WS-X4640-CSFP-E-Gbic
       Type: 1000Base-2BX10-D
       Speed: 100,1000
       Duplex: full

Previous releases had auto and full:

     tk01-rt01#show interfaces gigabitEthernet 2/2 capabilities
     GigabitEthernet2/2
       Model: WS-X4640-CSFP-E-Gbic
       Type: 1000Base-2BX10-D
       Speed: 100,1000,auto
       Duplex: full,auto

Last IOS we have with duplex auto is

 	cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.03.02.SG.151-1.SG2.bin

Anything later seems to be missing duplex auto.

This is biting us bad as the non manageable DKT FTU we use for FttH only supports auto and needs to be power cycled to regain the link.

We have opened a case with the respective gold partner and are waiting for escalation to cisco.

Has anybody else seen or notices this.

I have not been able to find anythin in the release notes yet.

Greetings
Christian
