I didnt mention stp.

I still dont think l2 between dcs is a good idea - stp separation or not.

Otv would probably provide the separation that you want.

I assume you are only running ethernet circuits for wan so i would still use 6800s or n7ks - and these are the only cisco ones you could use to run mpls.

Will you be using vmware? Nsx may be a good solution for this - and use nsx to provide the overlay network.

You could then use n56k or n6ks with n2ks for the client ports which would bring the price down.

The juniper qfx5100s look like the cheapest bang for buck solution at the moment - and can run mpls....
