[c-nsp] IBGP route stays stuck

Hi Andrea,
What model deviecs are PE1 and PE2 and what IOS are they running?
I have a TAC case open for exactly the same issue on some 6500s
running 15.1(2)SY2 (an IOS upgrade is pending which may actually fix
the issue as I suspect its an IOS bug anyway!).
Essentially the 6500 receives a route via eBGP, it has the same route
configured as a static rooute with a higher metric so that the eBGP
route is prefered and the static route points to a backup path. When
the eBGP session is down the static route works fine and when eBGP
session establishes the 6500 doesn't put the eBGP route back into the
FIB. It is still using the static route until I delete the route with
"no ip route..." and then re-add the static route. At this point we
are then using the eBGP route again and the static route is waiting as
a backup path.
I've had three TAC engineers looking at it giving me three seperate
reasons for why this happens, two sound like baloney to me and the
last one agrees that it's likely an IOS bug. I'm waiting to get this
resolved still.
Cheers,
James.
