Yes, it needs a reboot on the C3560/3750X platform.  The command is:

Switch(config)#system mtu jumbo 9198

It's a pain that Cisco doesn't enable jumbo MTUs on all switches by
default.  Occasionally a 1500 byte MTU switch slips into production and
it's a real pain to get this sorted, especially if someone has dumped new
software on the box without using "archive download-sw /upgrade-ucode" to
do a microcode preload.  Otherwise it's 35m of downtime to fix the problem,
argh.
