A couple caveats to be aware of with this.  If you stage code ahead of 
time, the 3560X's at least will not provide PoE to new devices until 
they're rebooted.  So don't reboot any phones/cameras/APs on that switch 
until you've completed the switch reboot.  It does significantly 
decrease the amount of time it takes to complete the reboot if you do 
upgrade it ahead of time.  The other caveat if you have any personnel 
located near these switches, while you're doing the microcode upgrade, 
it spins the fans to max.  Unless your server rooms are normally at 
110F+ temps, this means they're WAY louder than usual and tend to get 
attention from the IT folks who hear them and get concerned by it.
