Cheers Nick - no-one can physically check the cables until tomorrow, so Ill have to wait until then,,,,Ive also contacted supplier re what was shipped (Supposed to be 10Gb, but reporting as 1Gb, with GLC-LH-SMD-CURV).

n3k will also report this if you use the wrong speed transceiver in the
port.  But in this case it looks like either you've got the wrong type
of DAC connected, or the DAC has been encoded incorrectly, or nxos
screwing up the media capabilities detection:

this suggests incorrect cable or incorrect cable coding:
