If traffic is inside same fabric channel (you can view which ports
share fabric channel), then there is local-switching, and packets
won't be seen in fabric at all.
When traffic is not inside same fabric channel, as long as you have
fabric cards, traffic is seen in fabric. Full packets only ever travel
DBUS if you have non-fabric cards. Anyone sensible runs chassis with
full fabric cards only.
DFC/CFC both are fabric cards, it's just difference about lookup, if
the lookup engine is locally on the linecard or if lookup engine is in
the SUP.
