My XRv test VMs (running on vmware ESX 5.5 on Intel CPUs) are all very 
well behaved - typically consuming 25-40 MHz when idle, as in "a few 
interfaces active, EIGRP and CDP sending packets back and forth, but
no real activity".

The 6.0.0 version is the "early release" image - the official build still
seems to be unavailable, the "software download" link on

leads to CSR1000v IOS XE...
