It is my sense that Cisco simply forgets everything they work on immediately after it ships.
It's the only explanation for how TAC operates.

Out of curiosity: you probably asked Cisco (SE? TAC?) "what is going on?!"
They think this is okay? Uhm, "normal"?
reboot -- go to lunch -- have a coffee -- check in on router ?
Call it work-life balance ;-)
Probably somebody forgot some timeout but I still wonder how they "justify"
the long boot time and defy any common sense ... .
