Not sure about the displaying of calls, but as far as the 7970's we were having that same problem (and some others) We had to ultimatly call TAC and they gave us an ESS release of the firmware which seems to have solved the problem, however you say you are using 6.0.2, we are currently on 6-0-1-71ESS and things are ok..

I'd give TAC a holler on that one..

Subject: [cisco-voip] Callmanager 3.3(4)Sr2

Hi!

After the update to 3.3(4)SR2 displaying of an external call has changed. It is not really an problem, but it is strange and I would like to change it. Before the update an external incoming call was displayed as a "external Unknown call".
Now this call is displayed as "by private".
I don't know why the callmanager display every unknown external call as private. This situation occurs only, when the calling Number is not send.

Is there an option to change this ?
If yes, can you tell me where I can do so ?

I have antoher question. I have some problems with some 7970 Phones. I can not use the service button.
Everytime I want to use my internal services, I got an error message "Host not found". IP Address, Mask, DNS Server Default GW, everything is correct. Anythingelse function absolutely properly. In order to find out what happens, when I push the service button, I've started a network sniffer:

Here an output of my sniffer:
Using device /dev/hme (promiscuous mode)
192.168.246.3 -> dns         DNS C  Unknown (28276) Unknown (1641) ?
         dns -> 192.168.246.3 DNS R  Error: 2(Server Fail)
192.168.246.3 -> dns         DNS C  Unknown (28276) Unknown (1641) ?
         dns -> 192.168.246.3 DNS R  Error: 2(Server Fail)
192.168.246.3 -> dns         DNS C  Unknown (28276) Unknown (1641) ?
         dns -> 192.168.246.3 DNS R  Error: 2(Server Fail)

Everytime I push the service button, the IP Phone sends this dns request, which is garbage. This is not an normal dns request.
A dns request should look like this:
  192.168.246.3 -> dns         DNS C host.bla.de Internet Addr ?
         dns -> 192.168.246.3 DNS R host.bla.de. Internet Addr 1.1.1.1

Any ideas ? The Firmware of the IP Phone is 6.02.
The problems with the 7970 Phones was already there before the update was made. The formely version of the callmanager was 3.3(4).

Regards,
  Ahmad
