I usually just upgrade 3 or 4 phones, test them for a week and then
upgrade the rest of the phones if all is well with the test phones.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Documented Differences in Phone Loads
We are looking at upgrading the phone load of our 7912 from Release
3.3(7) (CP7912010202SCCP031217B) to Release 5.0(0)
(CP7912050000SCCP041115A).
Unfortunately, the release notes do not begin to describe the visual
changes in these phone loads. Does anyone have any pointers on where I
can get detailed changes from one release to another? Are people just
expected to drop new phone loads in without knowing the differences
ahead of time?
For example, the spacing between menu items is now such that the
services menu appears over two pages. Also, when dialing a number, a box
appears around the number.
