[cisco-voip] 7960 dieing after firmware update

Check the settings on the switch.
The switch logs will tell you why - I've seen this happen; it was caused
by having the switchport in access mode, and the phone was sending
BPDU's. The switch then puts the port into ERR-DISABLE state.
 
On the switch, you can add the following to the config on the affected
ports:
 
spanning-tree bpdufilter enable
 
This tells the switch to drop any BPDU's seen on that port

	I just upgraded my 7940-60's to 7.1(1.0)  Now my receptionist
has had her 7960 phone die twice in an hour.  Shutting down the port and
doing a no shut is the only thing bringing it back up.  Any Ideas.  I
have a TAC case open
