I never heard about the file format for g.729 coded
sound. It's possible to write down g729 stream to the data storage
system, we make such operations in our softswitch system, but
the file format of such stream is just a result of cooperation
between storage processing and real time packets switching mechanism,
but not a file format standart.

If you know some papers  - please, point me.
