[cisco-voip] phone loads for 4.1(2)

CCM Upgrade from 3.3(3) to 4.1I'm sure we would be fine too (>7100 devices) but it's one of those things that if I can plan for, I'd rather do it this way. I'm actually going to use some of the later firmware versions.

I'm wondering if my 3.3 installation has higher firmware versions configured, if the 4.1 installation overwrites them with an older version?

Can those who have upgraded to 4.1(2) please share the default phone loads for the 7910,7912,7935,7940/7960? One of the suggestions during CIPTUG was to upgrade your phones before hand so it did not complicate the Call Manager upgrade process.

  Thanks, Lelio

Currently, in order to upgrade from 3.3 to 4.1, you have to first upgrade to 4.0 and then take the executeable and upgrade to 4.1. Cisco should be coming out with a way to upgrade from 3.3 sometime next quarter, but for now, the only way to get to 4.1 is to upgrade to 4.0 first.

We're in the same boat. I'm going to discuss with my SE and some others about TAC support with an upgrade from 3.3(3) to 4.1(2) directly. I don't understand how they expect people to upgrade from 3.3(4) and not 3.3(3) when they specifically told people 3.3(4) and 4.x were different trains and that upgrades may be difficult. Maybe not in all those words, but the content of the message was the same. Being the holidays, this is one of the first things I will look at in the new year.

Has any one successfully upgraded CCM from 3.3(3) to 4.1? I read somewhere that this upgrade path hasn't been tested and only upgrades from 3.3(4) and later are supported, has anyone attempted this?

        Thanks,

        SK
