[cisco-voip] CM 3.2(2c) 3.3(4) Upgrade Problem

Hi all,

I am trying to do a 3.2(2c) upgrade to 3.3(4) with new hardware.

I am following the documentation, and at the end of the process I end up
with two "Server" entries in the Call Manager Administration and also in
the Servicability app. One entry is the IP address of the server and the
other is the hostname.

A former vendor originally installed the system, and I'm thinking that
they changed the server entry from the hostname to an IP after the initial
installation. I'm also thinking that the rebuild required for the upgrade
is initially populating the database with the machine's hostname. Upon
converting and importing the database, the original IP address server data
is imported and I'm left with two machine entries.

What should I do at this point? Is there a way to make the upgrade
process recognize that it needs to use the IP address instead of the
hostname in the database (assuming my theory of what is happening is
correct)?

I've considered trying to rename the server entry in the existing system
back to the hostname, then doing another backup and using that backup for
the upgrade. If I do this, are there any risks?

Thanks!
Nathan Nichols
