Erick,

Thanks for the response. Here is the info from `show controller t1` on
the 2651XM router:

T1 0/0 is up.
  Applique type is Channelized T1
  Cablelength is long gain36 0db
  No alarms detected.
  alarm-trigger is not set
Version info Firmware: 20040202, FPGA: 11
Framing is ESF, Line Code is B8ZS, Clock Source is Line.
CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 320.
Data in current interval (863 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
197 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
197 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0 Unavail
Secs
  Total Data (last 24 hours)
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations,
19523 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins,
19523 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0
Unavail Secs

I seem to have many slip seconds. Should I try changing the clocking
source to see what happens? Should I contact the line vendor to verify
what settings should be used?

Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Jeremy

What type of hardware modules?

How is the network-clocking set up?

If you do a 'show controller t1' do you have slip
seconds (if you have T1s)?

Any sort of error will cause fax's to fail off and on.
On the XM routers you need to make sure the clocking
is setup right so there are no errors. The Slip second
are sign clocking is not right. It may not be the T1
circuit but due to clock configuration on the router
itself.
