[cisco-voip] CMM

On the switch I put in:

config t
interface gigabit 9/1
no shutdown
switchport
end
write memory

As described in the link.

Then session slot 9 proc 0

Then setup an IP address on interface G1/0

Setup both
Ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.10.1
&
Ip default-gateway 10.10.10.1

I can ping anything in the 10.10.10.x subnet, but nothing outside the
local subnet. Is this an IOS issue on the Sup/msfc? Or what did I
miss?

TIA

Scott

You need to configure two things.

1. The switch IOS must be properly set up and trunked to the CMM.

2. CMM interface must have proper addressing.

Usually most folks don't have the trunk set up correctly.

I have a CMM blade from the Demo Depot and I can't get it to route
outside of its own subnet. What I'm I doing wrong?

Interface G9/1
Ip address 10.10.10.5

IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.10.1

Sup1a/msfc2 running native IOS 12.1.19e

TIA

Scott
