Hauke,
Last I checked, the STIRestore process actually dropped and recreated the
subscriptions for you, so replication was restored.
The actual STIBackup does not backup the distribution database and therefore
does not backup the LSNs. It is bundled into STIRestore to connect to
subscribers and recreate the replication agreements. This is why we
encourage use of the Cisco provided backup utilities.
