What AP are you running? We have 1200's that are running IOS. The IOS is very easy to configure the second Vlan / SSID so that no one but your IP phones get on it. Just a push for the IOS, I didn't care for the Vxworks. We just upgraded when we got the 7920.

The switch is just setup as a trunk. We are using 3550's with inline power.

interface FastEthernet0/1
 description AP by Willamette Room
 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
 switchport trunk native vlan 10
 switchport mode trunk
 mls qos trust cos
 wrr-queue cos-map 1 0 1
 wrr-queue cos-map 2 2 3
 wrr-queue cos-map 3 4
 wrr-queue cos-map 4 5 6 7
 priority-queue out
 spanning-tree portfast

Subject: [cisco-voip] 7920 IP Phone - Switch and Access Point Setup

For those of you who are using the 7920 wireless IP phone in production, could you tell me more about your switch and access point setup?  We're like most companies who put the access points on a different VLAN that does not communicate with the corporate VLAN.  I'd like to have the access point be on the corporate VLAN, but not broadcast it's SSID and use LEAP authentication.  It's the most secure setup I can think of, but if you have other secure setups you can share, please do.  Also, on the switch, would I setup a native and auxiliary VLAN?

Thanks,
Oliver
