MessageIt's important to remember the order in which calls are processed, and by which certain parameters are overridden.

shows a typical snapshot. External calling mask of the route pattern will over ride that of the phone, and so on.
I'm not aware of a service parameter that has the external calling mask, I was told by TAC on many occassions that it has to be set within the dial plan itself, i.e. phone, pattern, route group, etc.

Don't forget to add the phone # that you want to be displayed on caller id in the configuration for the phones line. Make sure there it is entered under "External Phone Number Mask".

Make sure your outbound route pattern has "use calling party's external phone number mask" checked.
There are a few other params that will override this:
1. callerid service param of CCM
2. callerid config option on gateway/endpoint (sometimes there, not always)
3. translation pattern that is matched before route pattern that modifies the calling party number.

I have Cisco Call Manager 3.3. When we have recently added caller id. The problem I have is my outgoing calls don't send the id info. Incoming call information is coming thru fine. Is there a setting that I need to adjust on the CCM. Our external phone number mask is set up 701*355*XXXX. I tried changing that to the extension number without any luck. I contacted the local Telco who provides the service and they seem to think the problem is on my end.
