You may want to consider using some external box for doing
your 'meetme' type functionality... we're using Asterisk
(www.asteriskpbx.org) to host conference calls.. it would
be possible to create a DN or series of DNs, and get the $500 PRI
card and stick it in a machine running Linux to host your conferences.
We're running all SIP here.. if you create a SIP CM setup,
you wouldn't need the T1/PRI card, and can run it completely in software.
Our setup is a large group of work-at-home users scattered
around the US, on our network and on dsl/cable of various providers..
using 7940/7960 primarily, but some ata186, going into a centralized
sip proxy, with cisco routers doing SIP/PSTN gateway in various
cities.
My favorite part is there isn't a limit to people in the
Asterisk MeetMe rooms. This means we can do 50 people conference calls
on the system without trouble, or having to schedule ports..
