1.  I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume your pc is XP SP2?  Check out 
CSCee03366.

2. Not sure, I'm not too familiar with Unity and SSL.  Is the /web/sa 
site set to grab your NT authentication automatically or is it set to 
prompt for it?  This should be set in Internet Services Manager but I'm 
not sure how using SSL will change those settings.  I'm used to looking 
at it without SSL.
