nope.
This is a historical cumulation.
Back in 2000.2.3 we created an OS SR that would break CM install because a
new version of msxml was applied in the OS SR (see CSCea79755).
Thus today, we specify in the "upgrade assistant" and in the installation
instructions the minimum OS version that should be installed to install that
version of callmanager.
To avoid install problems, you're best to install the specific OS version
that was released when that version of CM was released (basically the one
recommended in the install guide).

Subject: [cisco-voip] Install CM 3.3.4
I'm doing a fresh install of CM 3.3.4 on MCS servers so I can get rid of
my ICS 7750.
I'm looking at the install guide for CM 3.3.4. In step 3 of the
pre-install is says," Caution: Cisco Strongly recommends that you do not
install any operating system service release until you install CM on
every server in the cluster."
Then in step 5 is says,"Download and install the latest Cisco IPT Server
OS Service Release."
Was this just a screw up?
Scott
