[cisco-voip] vg224 setup

anyone familiar with setting up a vg224 as an h323 gateway?  ive got the 
device going, registered with callmanager and handling calls, but on some 
ports the call quality isnt that good (longer copper runs).  what im not 
really up to speed on are all the settings you can enable per port and what 
they exactly do

for example, the commands below seem to be things i would need to adjust to 
alter the voice quality but i have no idea what each one does?

input gain
output attenuation
impedance
comfort-noise 
threshold
loss-plan
timing
