Thanks Lelio-
That was going to be my next question. Where do you set the max number.
Thanks again
Scott

Something to note is that conference calls (not sure about codecs)
cannot span resources/dsps. So, as a TAC engineer explained it to me, if
you set the max participants to say 8, then before CallManager places a
call on a conference resource, it will check to see that it can handle
at least 8 participants, if not, it will use the next resource DSP
available. This means, the higher the number of participants, the
greater the chance your DSP will be underutilized. The max number of
adhoc participants is a CallManager Service Parameter.

Thanks Lelio,
I think I understand that the ACT card has 4 DSPs Each with 32
channels.
Which would mean with my current setup I have 64 Conference call
connections and 32 xcoded calls (each xcode call has two legs).
So with the Conferencing I could have 8 conferences with 8
people each.
Scott

OK, I'm finally getting this transcoding thing. :-)
Had the hardware setup, but didn't realize I needed an
additional region to make it work:
Region A - IPCCX
Region B - xcode
Region C - Remote site phones
A to B - G711
B to C - G729
A to C - G729
This way the remote site connects to the xcode and the
xcode to the cti port of the IPCCX. Which is interesting that the xcode
is freed soon as the agent connects.
With all that said, I have a CMM blade with the ACT
card.
How many DSP's are on a single ACT card?
How many xcodes per dsp?
How many conference calls per DSP?
Below is my working config.

How many conference calls with how many connections can
I have all at once?
How many transcoded calls can I have with it currently?
Can I make more conference calls and transcode calls
with this single ACT card?
Anything diffenent I should be doing?
TIA
Scott
