[cisco-voip] Unity Import Issues

I have had some inconsistent results with Unity and importing AD users
since upgrading to 4.05. At first I was getting a general message that
said something like "syntax error, failed to import user". After much
troubleshooting with the TAC they finally ran the DC/GC tool and forced
a sync with the Global Catalog and DC servers. This seemed to fix the
issue. Yesterday I successfully imported 13 users but 2 failed with a
similar error. The two that failed now can't be seen anywhere. When I
browse the AD users they are not seen. When I look at subscribers they
are not there either. I tried to use the "Bunny Killer" app to clean
the AD Unity objects, but they still show in that app as if nothing
changed. The users now have IP phones, but I can't give them voice
mail. Anyone else run into something like this?
