should still be recog as a 7835 by a text string in the bios.
7845 install gets Windows advanced server for > 4GB memory addressing.

I'm sorry if I asked this before, but I'm just wondering what upgrade options I might have if I buy a 7835 now and want to upgrade it to match 7845 specs in the future?

From what I gather the two systems are exactly the same except for memory, extra CPU and extra hard disk space. I'd probably buy a spare CPU off the bat since it would be hard to match later.

If I upgrade at a later time, will the hardware detection disks recognize it as a 7845 and format the disks and install the image appropriately or will it sill think it's a 7835? If it only recognizes it as a 7835 is there something I can switch (software/hardware) to make it be recognized as a 7845?
