[cisco-voip] Unity OS service packs and hot fixes

A TAC fellow told me the following when I asked the same question about
applying W2K Service Pack 4 and the subsequent patches/hotfixes:

I have been talking to senior engineers, just to double check the
availability
of the Windows 2000 server SP4 for download, and in this case, it is

recommended to use the SP4 install executable available from Microsoft.

...

In regards to the
post-SP4 hotfixes, you will need to get them from the Microsoft web page as

well. I know the documentation mentions the operating system patches and

service packs, but in this case, the OS sercurity patches, need to be

downloaded directly from Microsoft.

(case # 601690293)

So it looks like for Unity we are to use Microsoft's own patch releases and
they don't have to come through Cisco.

Subject: [cisco-voip] CM and Unity Upgrade Questions

I went today to get the new patches to fix the issues related to this
new worm, for CallManager I went to:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cmva-3des

>From here I found the hotfixes for CallManager.

After I got these however it dawned on me that these were for
CallManager, and so I started looking around for the same hotfixes for
Unity. I can't seem to find them though. Anyone have any ideas on
where to get the same patches (if they are different) for Unity
servers?

Also, we are currently running CallManager 4.1(3)es09, I upgrade to
this from CM 3.3(2) I think in April I believe, and now I notice there
is a 4.1(3) SR1.

I assume SR1 contains everything in es09, plus anything that was fixed
between it and SR1.

To upgrade to SR1 from 4.1(3)es09, do you have to order another
upgrade kit? I dont see anyplace to download on CCO, so I am assuming
you have to do that.

Thanks in advance!
