[cisco-voip] ethernet disconnected.

Is the Ethernet disconnected message coming from the phone or the PC?

  Call me weird or something but how does a 7940 phone boot up off PoE and
  then go to Ethernet disconnected?  Still has power to the phone.  Any
  ideas as to what could be the problem?  Is this a Switch problem?  I
  tested the cable and it seems to be good.  Is this a IOS bug?  

  Hope someone can give me a hand.
