[cisco-voip] Accounting details for VoIP calls

Dear All,
Can I use accounting only and no other AAA services in my router. The purpose is to log the call start and call end for CDR purpose and check it later for the calls failing.
Or is there another way in which I can get CDR on my router.
The setup is from router A on voip to router B. The connection is plar from router A and router B has users connected to it. 
PSTN --RtrA-----voip-----RtrB-----Users.
I checked on cisco site and they mentioned that with accounting I can log call start and call end, but I am not getting anything on my radius when I specified only accounting command in aaa new-model. 
I am not using any gatekeeper.
Please guide me to resources or hints on how this can be achieved.
