[cisco-voip] Cisco Unity without Exchange or Lotus Domino

Hi,
concerning the subject, is it possible to run Unity without Exchange or 
Lotus?

If this is possible, where is my message store located, what size can it 
have and how can it be accessed besides the telephone.

In case there is some written information about this, it would be great 
if someone could point me in the right direction (i.e. weblink).
