With meetme you have to initiate the conference room from one of the
internal phones by going to the meetme softkey while offhook. After
pressing that, it askes for the room number which is where you enter
the DN that you specified. Other users can simply join the room (once
initially created by using the meetme softkey) by simply picking up
their sets and entering dialing the meetme DN.

I have this setup at one of my customer sites, and even have a route
built to allow outside callers to access the meetme conf room. Of
cource this only works once the meetme room is initiated by the
internal phone.
