[cisco-voip] translation rule - MGCP

It will work on any call to the destination specified in the
translation rule. If your calls come into the gateway as 4-digit
numbers that match your internal extensions exactly then calls made
from IP phones may hit the same translation patterns that calls from
the gateway do. Constructive use of partitions/CSS can avoid this.

I've always used translation patterns to change outgoing calls ( eg.
Add prefix ). It will work with incoming numbers ?

You'll have to use translation patterns on the CM.

Hello
I would like to add translation rule to incoming numbers , I have CCM
4.1(3) with MGCP Gateway.
Normally ( with H.323 configuration ) I would add it as
incoming translation rule to incoming E1 port but how to configure it
when we have MGCP configured. I would like to add rule as below:
translation-rule 1
Rule 1 ^89 0
Rule 2 ^1 001
Rule 3 ^2 002
Rule 4 ^3 003
Rule 5 ^4 004
Rule 6 ^5 005
Rule 7 ^6 006
Rule 8 ^7 007
Rule 9 ^9 009
Where should I add it . Can it be configured somewhere on Call Manager ?
Greetings Marcin
