[cisco-voip] VoIP qualification and monitoring

Eric,

I use NetIQ Vivinet assessor to run a net assessment before rolling out VoIP. So far my experience with the product has been good.

My favorite features are:

Net scan (scan for router and switches) and I have the option to enter SNMP community strings
Payload analyzer and simulator
VoIP simulator where you can have multiple endpoints simulating RTP traffic using different codecs, QoS/COS.
Great report with several graphs and also Executive report for higher ups

so far the product has not left me wanting more features so I would recommend it for network assessment pre VoIP rollout. I have not used it for monitoring after roll out though

I've been looking at some products for 'pre-qualifying' customer 
networks for QOS/VoIP and for analyzing and monitoring our VoIP 
infrastructure.
Protocols used are SIP, MGCP and SCCP.
Codecs used are g.711 and g.729a.

Some of the vendors for VoIP monitoring and analysis that have come up 
include Acterna, Artiza, Clear Sight, Empirix, Finisar, Fluke, Network 
Associates, Radcom, Voila and Wildpackets.

Some of these vendors and Ixia have come up for QOS and VoIP qualification.

Anyone have any recommendations/experience with any of the above 
product(s) or other suggestions for my requirements?
