This command only affects your outbound calls.
 
Typically, the carrier will send calls in starting on channel 1 (top or
ascending), and by default the router sends calls out starting with channel
23 (bottom or descending).
 
I generally wouldn't recommend changing this setting unless this is
primarily an outbound only line.

if i conf with ascending   (B-chan selection starting from B1) does this
mean the carrier is sending incoming call to channel 1 first
