[cisco-voip] CM Admin problems on new machine?

I was testing out IPMA and the Manager client and Assistant client each required a different version of JAVA to work. A workstation with Manager client would not work with the Assistant client and vice versa.

I was 'this close' to dropping to the floor and getting into the fetal position and start crying after finding that one out.

It's the java version. I see this on machines that don't have the right Java version.

<rant> I wish Cisco would make it a priority to get all the IPT apps up to the same version, and maybe even a current version. I have to use as least two different machines to do all I need to do <I'm finished>

Some things to have a look at... I'm thinking it might be something to do with the JAVA support.

Make sure you have java installed on there.. Java support was pulled from Windows starting with sp1a if I remember correctly.

Also, make sure you don't have pop up blockers or third party toolbars installed.

I've seen trouble with the Yahoo toolbar specifically, but that might not be the trouble you are seeing...

  Anyhow, for what it's worth.

Setting up a new pc for myself and running clean install of XP with the built in SP2. Its a base install right now, simply XP with all the updates from MS.

I open IE and go to my CCMAdmin page, login and go search for phones. I select extension, contains and 12 and it says it returns 87 items but they are never displayed.

I see an error sign (yellow exclamation) in the bottom left of IE, when you open the error and read it it says:

  Line: 264

  Char: 3

Error: Object doesnt support this property or method

  Code: 0

Is there something you have to do on a new system to get CCMAdmin working correctly? Seems odd, but then again I never tried CCMAdmin from another PC so who knows.
